What is Difference between Emotion and Feeling:- Emotions and feelings are often confused by many people, because these concepts share certain similarities; even in some cases these words are used interchangeably to refer to the same. Emotions are well established in the mind and arise when faced with some particular situation, circumstance and turn of events. Emotion vs. How we THINK about an experience (one that has evoked an emotional response) will feed the associated resulting FEELING. In other words, people usually talk about being in a good mood or a bad mood. While emotions are associated with bodily reactions that are activated through neurotransmitters and hormones released by the brain, feelings are the conscious experience of emotional reactions. Some of these are anger, happiness, love, compassion, sadness, fear, surprise etc. In other words, feelings result from abstract thinking. Feelings are combinations of thoughts, sensations, experiences good or bad and fixed notions in the mind. It is important not to be ashamed of having feelings. However, emotions and feelings are often difficult to separate in practice because where there is a feeling there are usually different emotions and vice versa. This month my inspiration came from Emmanuel Dagher’s Club Miracles healing call – where he discussed the difference between Emotions and Feelings.
